Great people, delicious food, spot on coffee. Bacon Egg Roll and coffee or a Breaky Burrito on a Saturday are my go to.

Amazing food, great coffee. Seriously recommended 👌. Especially for early risers (opens 5am) It's always good when the food is well priced but tastes a million bucks. Staff are friendly too

When you walk into a cafe and hear laughter and the food smells good you know you're onto a winner. They held up to the initial observation. I like that they asked how strong I wanted the ginger in my juice to be. The bread was warm on my meal which many cafes don't do, and they also asked if I wanted my bacon on the side or in my omelette, the little touches make the big difference. I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

This is a small out of the way cafe I found quite by accident while staying in a hotel nearby for work. I went there and purchased the breakfast special which was bacon and egg roll and med coffee for $12. I just ate that and have to share how great it was. Generous portion with a large soft roll and several layers of bacon inside. I thought the coffee was not as good as the roll, but it was still pretty decent also! Thank you Roost@53! I enjoyed my breakfast on the road this morning!

Felt like seeing happy family walking in, awesome smiley Chef & Barista 😁 And the even better thing … best takeaway coffee I’ve had in over a decade. I will make sure I drive back to sample your food (which looked amazing) when I have more time. Absolutely delicious coffee!

Top notch coffee, food, and service. The large iced latte was huge (compared to what I’ve come to expect), and the quinoa avo bowl the perfect health reset for my Monday morning. All served fast and fresh with a friendly smile. Wish it were my local!

Q: What kind of place is The Roost @ 35 and what did you try? A: The Roost @ 35 has a relaxed café-style vibe and a diverse menu. We visited expecting a good, simple meal, the menu seemed promising and we appreciated that there was variety on offer. Q: How was the food and overall quality? A: The food was solid overall. The dishes we tried were reasonably prepared and tasted good for what they were, comfort-food style meals that hit the spot. The café clearly knows its offerings and delivers on what they advertise. Q: What about the service and staff? A: The staff were friendly and welcoming. They made us feel comfortable and were helpful, creating a pleasant environment for dining, which counts for a lot, especially when the vibe of the place matters as much as the food. Q: Any downsides or things that could improve? A: The portions were okay, but not massive, it wasn’t a big blow-out meal. For the price, I expected a little more generosity or value. Also, because the place seems to aim for a casual-café feel rather than a fancy restaurant, don’t expect fine-dining standards; it’s more of a laid-back spot, which is fine but worth knowing before you go. Q: Would you recommend The Roost @ 35? A: Yes, if you're after a simple, relaxed meal or café-style food with friendly service, The Roost @ 35 is a solid choice. It’s a good local spot for breakfast, lunch, or a casual hangout. I’d go again, especially if I’m after a no-fuss, easy meal out. [Follow my adventures on instagram @crushinglimits]
